Prerequisites for Achieving Development Missions in Papua
Papua development towards welfare and progress requires a solid and integrated foundation. In carrying out three main development missions, namely Papua Sehat, Papua Smart, and Papua productive, there are four things that are the main prerequisites that must be met.
The first prerequisites are basic infrastructure and adequate connectivity. Good infrastructure will support increased access to basic service centers and economic centers, as well as facilitate connectivity between regions.
This will allow the Papuan community to more easily access health services, education, and economic opportunities, thus supporting the achievement of a healthy, intelligent and productive Papua mission.
The second prerequisite is the sustainability of the environment. In the development process, attention to the regional capacity_carrying capacity, climate resilience, and disaster risk mitigation is very important.
Sustainable development must pay attention to the balance between the use of natural resources and environmental preservation, so that development can take place in a sustainable manner and does not harm future generations.
The third prerequisite is good development governance. Strengthening the implementation of special autonomy, maintaining security and order, and accelerating the operation of new autonomous regions is an important step in ensuring the effectiveness of development in Papua.
With good governance, development policies and programs can be implemented efficiently and on target.
The fourth prerequisite is recognition of customary land/customary land, culture, and social harmony. Recognize and protect the rights of customary law communities on customary land/customary forests and customary forests, and involve them in the development process, is the key to ensuring that development in Papua is in accordance with the contextual culture of local culture.
By paying attention to cultural values and local wisdom, development will be more connected to the reality of the Papuan people and have a more sustainable impact.
By meeting these main prerequisites, the mission of healthy, intelligent and productive Papua development can be realized more effectively and sustainably.
Strategic steps in building infrastructure, maintaining the environment, improving governance, and respecting local culture are an important foundation for achieving the vision of welfare and progress for the people of Papua.
