Minister Suharso Releases Students’ Departure to Cemara Village Bappenas

The Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas released the departure of students from a number of universities in Indonesia to Cemara Village, Bappenas, Wednesday (17/04/2024).
Cemara Village is a program initiated by the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas to support poverty reduction efforts. One of the programs has been implemented in Taraju Village, Tasikmalaya Regency.
The Minister said that the program was a collaboration carried out by the government, universities and the community.
According to him, MBKM Desa Cemara has provided opportunities for students to practice the knowledge they have learned in class in real situations in the field. 10 universities and 120 students have participated since the program started.
“I would like to express my highest appreciation for the fighting spirit of our students to go out into the community and have a real impact,” said the Minister.
“Symbolically, I also released and dispatched my fellow students to become young technocrats, improving welfare in the area under the guidance of Bappenas Cemara Village,” he continued.
The Minister advised that students and universities are agents of change in creating solutions and innovations that can be implemented.
“Through synergy between the government, private sector, society, educational institutions and the younger generation, we are trying to create significant, adaptive, inclusive and sustainable change,” he concluded.
As additional information, a number of students who were sent to take part in the Cemara Bappenas Village MBKM Program were the 5th Batch. They will participate in the program until June 2024.
