Minister Suharso Attends Joint Working Meeting of Commission XI and BPK RI
The Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas attended a joint working meeting with Commission XI DPR RI and the Indonesian Financial Audit Agency, regarding the 2025 BPK RI budget, Monday (05/02/2024).
In the meeting, the Minister said that the BPK as an independent auditor institution obtains budget certainty every year in accordance with the preliminary discussion agreement.
Furthermore, the meeting is summarized as follows. First, there are assumptions that form the basis for carrying out budgeting exercises, including accommodating operational expenditure according to proposals.
Apart from that, consideration is also being given to the use of volume and unit cost calculations for inspection expenditure, as well as the percentage of inspection expenditure to non-operational expenditure which must continue to increase.
Second, budgeting for DOB inspection expenditure (BPK Operational Data) will follow the proposals contained in the Preliminary Plan for the 2025 Fiscal Year.
For non-inspection expenditure, a minimum value will be chosen between Ranwal Renja’s proposal or the results of the 2023 volume calculation multiplied by the 2024 unit cost.
The next stage is Preliminary Discussions with the DPR regarding the BPK Budgeting Mechanism for FY 2025 and subsequent years, which will be held on Monday, February 5 2024 in the DPR RI Commission XI Meeting Room, Nusantara Building I Floor 1.
In general, the conclusion of the meeting between Commission XI of the House of Representatives, Bappenas and BPK RI discussed the assumptions and budgeting mechanisms that will be used by the Audit Board for the 2025 fiscal year, as well as the next stage of discussion with the DPR regarding the budgeting mechanism.
