Minister Suharso Appreciates the National Defense Book 5.0 Published by Wantanas
Minister of National Development Planning Suharso Monoarfa appreciated the publication of a book entitled “Bela Negara 5.0” published by Wantanas, after receiving a visit from the Secretary General of the National Resilience Council of the Republic of Indonesia, Wednesday (12/06/2024).
As is known, this book is used as a reference in national defense development developed by ministries, institutions and regional governments. According to him, defending the country is also a national priority activity for the National Resilience Institute in 2022.
The Minister emphasized the importance of the book’s presence in the context of building national character in the era of technology 5.0.
“This book not only offers a new perspective, but also provides practical guidance in growing nationalism amidst very fast social, economic and technological dynamics,” said the Minister.
“One of the main points raised in this book is the importance of balance between the nation’s noble values and advances in digital technology. “This book also emphasizes the need to strengthen the values of defending the country in collaboration with the 5.0 era to foster nationalism in society,” he continued.
Regarding national defense training, the Minister agreed that this education and formation of understanding must be carried out from an early age and directed at all levels of society. To be able to increase awareness and form positive attitudes in society.
In line with the above, the Minister also said that the urgency of instilling national values is not only carried out through formal education, but also through the hidden curriculum.
The Minister hopes that the book National Defense 5.0 can be an effective and comprehensive guide for all parties involved in efforts to defend the country.
“Hopefully this book can strengthen our joint efforts in fostering enthusiasm and nationalism towards Indonesia in this challenging era,” he concluded.
