In 2020, Indonesia’s position rose significantly to 5th with 49 points. This increase reflects the efforts of the government and the private sector to encourage sharia economic growth through various initiatives and policies.
2021 will be an important turning point for Indonesia. This country managed to climb to 4th position with an index value of 91.2 points. This significant increase not only shows the strong commitment of all stakeholders, but also reflects the effectiveness of the policies and programs that have been implemented.
In 2022, Indonesia’s position will remain in 4th place with a total of 68.5 points. Despite experiencing a decline in points, the stability of its position shows that Indonesia is still able to maintain its achievements amidst intense global competition.
In 2023, Indonesia’s position will increase again to third place with a total of 80.1 points. This indicates improvement and strengthening in various aspects of the Islamic economy in Indonesia. This increase also reflects the adaptation and innovation carried out by various sectors in facing global economic challenges.
Despite experiencing significant improvements in the last five years, Indonesia still faces various challenges to become a global leader in the Islamic economy.
To achieve a position as a global leader in the Islamic economy, Indonesia needs to continue to develop and strengthen the sharia economic ecosystem. This includes increasing collaboration between government, the private sector and society, as well as continuing to encourage innovation and technological development in this sector.
With strong commitment and continued efforts, Indonesia has great potential to become a global leader in the Islamic economy in the future.
